Totally Positive Productions is a nonprofit organization committed to engaging the youth and young adults of the Englewood, Back-of-the-Yards, and South Englewood communities in positive “off the street” activities. Accomplishment 2004-2005


  1. On August 18, 2004 TPP and Special People in Need made it possible for 58 children and 12 adults to visit Six Flags Great America, free of Charge.
  2. In October of 2004, Alderman Shirley Coleman sponsored “Woman Thou Art Loosed” by Bishop T.D. Jakes. Totally Positive Productions mailed over 100 flyers to young people and families to view this movie.
  3. In January 2005 Totally Positive Productions aired the television commercials on channel 50 (UPN) for a week. We had several responses from viewers calling in to inquire more detail about the organization.
  4. Totally Positive Productions appeared at Chicago Children’s Museum in Navy Pier, Chicago, IL in February 2005 for the “African American Community Resource Fairs”. Staff showed the P-Rap television commercial, distributed membership applications, flyers and discussed the P-Rap music and gear to over 200 youths.
  5. Totally Positive Productions appeared at the Black Expo at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL as a vendor. Totally Positive Productions showed the P-Rap Television commercial to the audiences, sold P-Rap hats and t-shirts, signed up musical acts, TPP memberships and sold original songs by local artists. There were over 25,000 people of all ages and ethnic background present.
  6. Totally Positive Productions taped and appeared on CAN T.V. station broadcasting the organization mission and displaying the P-RAP gear.
  7. Another showcase took placed in July 2005 on CAN T.V. station displaying the P-Rap gear. Rap Artist, Awesome A. C. Wolfe performed live and staff participated in a 10 minutes interview informing the public about the overview structure of Totally Positive Productions.Totally Positive Productions appeared and supported Howard B. Brookins, Jr., Alderman of the 21st Ward in their Annual Family Summer Youth Festival in July 2005. The youths of Totally Positive Productions (TPP Task Force) distributed free ink pens, displayed P-Rap gear and CDs and put on view TPP television comme  
  8.    Saturday, December 16th, 2006, is when Totally Positive Productions went to Medieval Times to complete our "mission statement", which is to produce positive rap, singing and dance competitions in financially disadvantaged urban communities. Established for youth 9 to 25 as a creative outlet and as a deterrent to gang and drug involvement.
